Using Wax Shells to Make Table Centerpieces

Unless always attended, candles can be a fire hazzard. Over the fall and Winter season many of us like to have candle centerpieces always glowing to help create a warm cosy atmosphere. And of course you cannot always be in the room with your glowing candle. Now, you do not need to compromise safety for a beautiful candle centerpiece. The availability of LED candles and electric candles means you can have a flame flickering away in your displays without fear of it catching fire.

To create a more authentic look, a wax shell placed around the LED or Electric candle makes it look like a real candle yet without the flame...a fabulous idea!

Now here are a few examples of table centerpieces using wax candle shells. Of course you can change the candle rings and botanical bits and pieces for Winter and Spring displays. 2.Pour in the putka pods around the rattan ball. 3. Place the fox thistle balls next. 4. Follow with the Coqumho Balls.

6. Place the Wax shell on the tray. 7. Place the LED Tealight inside the wax shell. 8. Slide the Maple leaf candle ring over the vase.

10. Either let the candle rings sit on top of each other or use a piece of tape to hold the artichoke candle ring up to hide the separator plate under the wax shell. By also taping the Eucalyptus ring at around the level of the thistle balls you can really create a unique layered look which I like best as it allows you to see the rattan ball and putka pods.
